Before I ran my business through gut feeling and intuition, but now I run my business by planning, strategizing, delegating and effective decision making. Since 10,000 Women business is booming. We met our sales quota. We have also closed several deals including supplying new gases. We have expanded our LPG tanks product line-up and added new products. Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women has armed me to become a better woman entrepreneur.

10,000 Women gave me the confidence to deal with licensing officials. As a result, my products recently successfully passed eight new laboratory tests and are undergoing approval by BFAD thus enabling me to offer new products. We now accept large orders of “malunggay” seeds, cuttings, and seedlings for farms, powder for food use, and press cakes for animal feeds. Because of my 10,000 Women experience, DS Pinoy is well on its way to being known as a popular brand.

As a result of the confidence I gained through 10,000 Women, I was able to successfully negotiate a contract to provide vehicle surveillance cameras for the Ninoy Aquino International Airports (1, 2 and 3). 2009 was a trying year for me but since then, our sales have picked up and we have three upcoming projects. Because of 10,000 Women I am confident that I will be able to continuously improve my current business operations while exploring more product offerings in the next few years.

I used to run my business by "feeling" according to the dictates of my clients, my moods, my whims, even my conscience. I enjoy creating new designs and soap making so much that I do not consider costs, time, and effort. The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Business Training Program took me away from my business (and my family) for 1 whole week every month for 3 months, but it was worth it as I learned to plan ahead and do things ahead of time, to delegate my workload, and to trust my employees. 10,000 Women have taught me more effective planning skills. We now have formalized inventory & stock control system, and believe or not, I now do basic cash flows. God truly knows the desires of our hearts.

10,000 Women gave me a new perspective and attitude. I have become more innovative, creative and proactive in the management of my business. I have begun to seek new opportunities and not be limited to existing clients, services and systems. I have recently begun implementing changes to my existing standards and systems. I plan to integrate new practical tools and techniques to expand my business, streamline processes, increase productivity, expand my target market and be more efficient and effective in operations. 10,000 Women has provided me with a network that has motivated me to expand my target market - to strengthen and expand our Events Management Services and introduce Individual Business Coaching.

My ideas were outdated so it is refreshing to learn about the different technologies used in systematizing business operations such as reviewing employees' performances by using a grade system or behavioural question evaluation forms, etc. I learned how to systematize our inventory system, the laws on exporting products, online sales, Intellectual Property Rights, and other things that deal with the government. I am much grateful for this program.
